The Near future

Presently the Hyde Park Visual History Project is completing its primary focus on gathering media from the community. In early June we will begin go present that material around the Town of Hyde Park, at various locations. Please check in with us to keep up to date on those events.

June

On June 12th and 13th, Staatsburg will be celebrating Staatsburgh Spirit Days. The Hyde Park Visual History Project will be presenting an initial installation for this celebration.

July

July 11th - Show was postponed to August 1st - Hyde Park Free Library

July 24th the project will be presented at the Staatsburg Firehouse.

July 31st an installation will take place at the home of Susan Schryver. Having donated film of her parents wedding in the 1950's, this exhibition will play with the way that images are displayed onto and out of the landscape.

August

August 1st - The Project will be shown at the Hyde Park Free Library 9pm - 10pm. The project will focus on situating historic portraits on the entrance of the library. I will be asking those visiting to stand next to the past, snapping a photo for documentation.

September

September 14th or 21st - I will be presenting the project to the Hyde Park Town Council. You can catch the talk on community channel 22.

October

On October 17th, The project will have its primary installation at the Hyde Park Drive In Theatre.
