The Powers that Be is a collaboration between artist Matthew Slaats and students involved with the Youth Build program at Nubian Directions in Poughkeepsie, NY. This website is a document of our exploration into the ways in which we influence and effect the spaces that are around us. The outcome of this effort is to create multiple video works that describe our relationship to space, which will be projected on to facades and into sites through out the Main St. corridor of Poughkeepsie.
